Ōsawa Momoko(大沢桃子)

Ōsawa Momoko(大沢桃子) lost her father to a traffic accident when she was six years old. After graduating from high school, she left for Tokyo to become a singer so that she can provide a better life to her mother.

Once in Tokyo, she took various singing lessons while doing part time jobs and working through an employment agency. Eventually, through her family members, she was able to start studying under Terauchi Takeshi(寺内 タケシ), known as the "god of the electric guitar." She followed him around on his concerts as a staff member. She also started taking dancing lessons from Asaka Mitsuyo(浅香 光代).

Asaka Mitsuyo(浅香 光代) came up with the stage name Ōsawa Momoko(大沢桃子). Asaka took Ōsawa from the personality Asaka performed on TBS Radio's show "Ōsawa Yūrino Yūyū Waido(大沢悠里のゆうゆうワイド)" named "Ōsawa Yūri(大沢悠里)."

She is a singer-songwriter, writing and often performs her own songs. She uses the pen name "Nakamura Tsubaki(なかむら椿)" whenever she writes her own song (except the first song, where she used her real name). She chose the name Tsubaki(椿) meaning camellia because they grew in her home town of Ōfunato City(大船渡市 Ōfunatoshi).

She is level eight in calligraphy writing and uses the brush to sign her name for her fans.

Both her hometown of Ōfunato  City(大船渡市 Ōfunatoshi) and Hiraizumi City(平泉町 Hiraizumi-chō) in Iwate Prefecture designated her as their sightseeing ambassador.

In 1998, she made her debut with King Record singing "Daughter Flame Song(娘炎節 Jōenbushi)."

In April of 2003, she switched recording companies to Tokuma Japan Communications.
