Matsuzaki Kōsuke(まつざき幸介)

Because his father worked for Taihei House Builders(太平住宅株式会社 Taihei Jūtaku Kabushiki Gaisha) (whose chairman Nakayama Kōichi(中山幸市) had started the record label Minorufon Rekōdo(ミノルフォンレコード)),  Matsuzaki Kōsuke(まつざき幸介) had access to and listened to numerous enka and kayōkyoku records they had at his home.

When he was in elementary school, he was captivated by drums after attending a concert by the Japanese band Tulip, and as a result, he played drums in a band during his high school years.

He worked part time at a snack cafe while studying at Chuo University(中央大学 Chūō Daigaku） and was reintroducted to enka music there. After graduating with a degree in commerce, he worked at various locations including a tax account's office and an architectural design office.

When he was 35 years old, he started singing at the karaoke box which opened near his home, and the manager there encouraged him to enter singing competitions. Taking the suggestion, from 2000 to 2005, he entered various singing competitions, and won the National Karaoke Festival(全国縦断カラオケフェスティバル Zenkoku Jūdan Karaoke Fesutibaru) held at the Shinjuku Koma Theater(新宿コマ劇場 Shinjuku Koma Gekijō).

As a result, in 2006, he made his professional debut with King Record in 2006 using his real name. He started using his stage name Matsuzaki Kōsuke(まつざき幸介) when he released his second single.

With the release of Sake, You Are(酒よおまえは Sakeyo Omaewa) in 2013, he changed recording company to Nippon Crown.
