Godai Natsuko(伍代夏子)

Godai Natsuko(伍代夏子)'s family was a fishmonger.

She originally debuted using the stage name Hoshi Hiromi(星ひろみ) in 1982. She started using her current stage name in 1987 with the album "Returning River(戻り川 Modorigawa)."

She married Sugi Ryōtarō(杉良太郎 ), singer and actor, in 1999. According to her husband, she has a very straightforward personality and is not interested in watches or any other metallic objects.

In August 2010, she revealed that she had contracted hepatitis C and was being treated for the disease,

In 2014, it was discovered that she was using pictures without authorization on her blog. She apologized to her fans and closed down her blog.

She has performed in the Kōhaku Utagassen each year between 1990 and 2001, then from 2006 to 2014 (as of 2014).
