Knowing he won't come
I eagerly waited for you with light make up
The moon on izayoi* the full moon is
Going to start breaking apart after just one night
It's fate is just like, just like love...

With a shoelace knot once more
I want to tie the broken bond back together
The moon on izayoi* I want to see you
A woman's heart starts to wither
Anata**, please, please, hold me...

When alone, I want to cry
The lipstick turns darker, becomes red
The moon on izayoi* sleeping alone
The unending night's loneliness
Moon, will you, will you understand...

* Izayoi is the night on the sixteenth day of the lunar calendar.
**Anata is the Japanese word for "you" used by a woman to refer to her significant other.

Yamamoto Aki(山本あき)

Yamamoto Aki(山本あき) was born to a family with both parents heavily involved in the entertainment industry. Her father, although not a professional, performed magic tricks in public and gave lectures about magic tricks. Her mother was a local enka singer. A middle child with an elder sister and a younger brother, she and her brother would also end up going into the entertainment industry. Her brother, though self-published, sung and released JPOP songs and she herself would become a professional enka singer.

When she was a child, she appeared on various shows such as Ishikawa TV's "The Song's Homerun(歌のホームラン Utano Hōmuran)." She was also a part of a band, but it broke up after the members' interests and work schedules made it difficult for them to get together.

In 2000, she sung at an event hosted by Kanazawa City(金沢市 Kanazawashi)'s  city hall, and started taking singing lessons the following year. She continued to work and save up money as she honed her skills entering various singing competitions.

Eventually, she won the King Record's new artist's competition and in 2006, while the record was celebrating the company's 75th anniversary she made a debut as composer Hijirikawa Yū(聖川湧)'s student with the song "A Pattern of Sorrows(哀しみ模様 Kanashimi Moyō)." Though this work did not sell well, she received that year's New Artist Award at the 48th Annual Japan Record Awards.

She is interested in watching movies and exercising. She does like PC's or any recent technological devices.

She was a member of the basketball club in high school.
