Mount Iwaki(お岩木山 Oiwakiyama) by Miyama Hiroshi(三山ひろし)

Oh mountain! oh mountain oh Mount Iwaki
Instead of that young lady, please listen to me
Though there aren't roads to a man's mountain
The path a man walked turns into a road
Though my face is dark and sunburned
My heart is whiter than the snow

Oh mountain! oh mountain oh Mount Iwaki
Instead of the society, please listen to me
Though it may be out of character for a man like me
When you wear light lipsticks you look sweet
The fingers which pluck small cherry blossoms of Mutsu Province,
Will wash it clean with the valley's clean water

Oh mountain! oh mountain oh Mount Iwaki
Instead of my mom, please listen to me
Things like a man's sense of duties and kindness
I had turned the other way but
The life's slope of struggles
When I had gone over it, I became just like my dad

Feelings of the Iris Rain (あやめ雨情 Ayame Ujō) by Miyama Hiroshi(三山ひろし)

I want to meet you and be held in my dreams
Is that what you call regret
The purple iris which became wet
Seeing it makes me want you even more
Oh rain...rain...rain...don't fall
Don't erase the memories from that day

I tried with all my might and we were united
The strings of fate which won't melt and loosen
To winds the purple iris flower
One cursing sigh because I can't adorn myself with it
Oh rain...rain...rain...don't fall
Alone, I am cold and unable to sleep

I can't forget, both of us under the umbrella
Since then, have you found happiness
The blooming purple iris flower is
Secretly crying woman's heart
Oh rain...rain...rain...don't fall
I feel like I can see you tonight

Miyama Hiroshi(三山ひろし)

The stage name Miyama Hiroshi(三山ひろし) comes from Miyama(three mountains) because the prefecture he grew up in, Kōchi Prefecture(高知県), is surrounded by three mountains, and from his teacher Nakamura Tenshō(中村典正)'s alternate name Yamaguchi Hiroshi(山口ひろし).

When he was 23 years old, he moved to Tokyo hoping to become a singer.

He worked as a waiter at Matsumae Hiroko(松前ひろ子)'s restaurant. Matsumae Hiroko(松前ひろ子) is an enka singer and Kitajima Saburō(北島三郎)'s cousin.

In 2004, he entered and won the NHK Amateur Singing Contest(NHK のど自慢 NHK Nodo Jiman) held in Kōchi Prefecture(高知県). He then studied under Matsumae Hiroko(松前ひろ子)'s husband and composer Nakamura Tenshō(中村典正).

In 2007, he was the runner-up in the Nippon Crown's 45th Anniversary Memorial Newcomers' Audition(クラウン創立45周年記念新人オーディション Kuraun Sōritsu 45 Shūnen Kinen Shinjin Ōdishon).

In 2009, he made his debut with "Hitokoi(Yearning to Meet Someone) Tavern(人恋酒場 Hitokoi Sakaba)." In September 2010, Hitokoi Tavern had sold over 100,000 copies, and he was awarded the gold record for achieving this sales milestone.

In 2011, at the 53rd Japan Record Awards(第53回日本レコード大賞 Dai Gojūsankai Nihon Rekōdo Taishō), he won the Japanese Composers' Association Award(日本作曲家協会奨励賞 Nihon Sakkyokka Kyōkai Shōreishō).
