Kitagawa Daisuke(北川大介)

Kitagawa Daisuke(北川大介) was a pitcher on his high school's baseball team. While attending the Senshu University (専修大学 Senshū Daigaku), he was active as a member of the golf club. After graduating, he came to the United States hoping to become a professional golfer.

He has been certified by The Professional Golfers' Association of Japan(JPGA) as an A-level instructor.

In 1998, he made his debut as an enka singer with "Maebashi Blues(前橋ブルース Maebashi Burūsu)."

He won the Japan Crown Hit Award's Newcomer's Award and the Japan Singer's Association(日本歌手協会 Nihon Kashu Kyōkai) in 2000.

In the 50th Japan Record Awards, he won the Japan Composer's Association Award(日本作曲家協会奨励賞 Nihon Sakkyokuka Kyōkai Shōreishō) and the Excellence Award(優秀作品賞 Yūshū Sakuhinshō) in the 51st Japan Record Awards for his song "Taking You Along(おまえを連れて Omaewo Tsurete)."

He has acted as a "one day commissioner" at the Takasaki Police Station(高崎警察署 Takasaki Keisatsusho) in Gunma Prefecture and the Isezaki Police Station(伊勢佐木警察署 Isezaki Keisatsusho) in Kanagawa Prefecture.

In the show NHK Song Concert(NHK歌謡コンサート NHK Kayō Konsāto), he has appeared with Takeshima Hiroshi(竹島宏) and Yamauchi Keisuke(山内惠介) as part of the enka singer trio "Handsome Trio(イケメン3 Ikemen 3)."
