Yamauchi Keisuke(山内惠介)'s mother was a Misora Hibari fan even before he was born, and he attended all the annual concert held at Fukuoka Municipal Building.
When he was in high school, he entered the first ever enka singing contest, where Mizumori Hideo(水森英夫) scouted him. After auditioning for Victor Entertainment the following year singing various Misora Hibari songs, he made his debut with "Feelings in the Fog(霧情 Kirijō)."
His single Lake Fūren(風蓮湖 Fūrenko) released in September 2009 stayed in the Oricon charts for 50 weeks, and as a result, the Nemuro City in Hokkaido where Lake Fūren is located designated him the city's taste tourism ambassador(味覚観光大使 mikaku kankō taishi).
He is a member of the trio "Handsome Trio(イケメン3 Ikemen 3)" along with Takeshima Hiroshi(竹島宏) and Kitagawa Daisuke(北川大介).
