Naruse Shōhei(成世昌平)

Naruse Shōhei(成世昌平) started studying Japanese folk songs in 1974.

He signed an exclusive contract with Nippon Crown in 1985, and he made his debut with the songs Hakatabushi(博多節) and Fukuchiyama Ondo(福知山音頭).

His 1987 single "Celebration(寿 Kotobuki)" a hundred thousand copies.

His "Stray Folk Song(はぐれコキリコ Hagure Kokiriko)" released in 2002 has cumulatively sold over five hundred thousand copies.

In 2003, he tried out a rakugo routine.

He has a high pitched voice.
