Akioka Shūji(秋岡秀治)

Akioka Shūji(秋岡秀治) is the stage name used by the enka singer Hirakawa Yukihito(平川 幸仁). He came up with the stage name by combining the names of his two teachers, Oka Chiaki(岡千秋) and Yoshioka Osamu(吉岡 治).

He made a decision to become a singer after hearing his father's composition "Saka City Blues(坂町ブルース Saka Machi Blues)."

He made his debut with the song "A Man's Wine(男の酒 Otokono Sake)" in 1991 and has sung other works such as "A Man's Constellation(男の星座 Otokono Seiza)" and "Firefly Snow(ほたる雪 Hotaru Yuki)."
