Ichikawa Yukino(市川由紀乃) studied under the composer Ichikawa Shōsuke(市川 昭介 ) and received permission to use the name Ichikawa in her stage name.
She made her debut singing "A Woman's Festival(おんなの祭り On'nano Matsuri)" with Teichiku Entertainment.
In October 1998, she switched recording companies to King Record Co., Ltd. and released "Just Once(一度でいいから Ichidode I'ikara)."
She experienced burnout and in April of 2002, she took a break from the industry for four and half years. During that time, she worked part-time at a tempura restaurant.
Her official fan club got its start in 2009.
She does not pierce her ears because she wishes to appear in a jidaigei(時代劇) some time in the future.
