She first sang when she was four years old when she sang "Teacher(せんせい Sensei)" by Mori Masako(森昌子). Afterwards, she started entering various local karaoke competitions and won the twentieth "MC Music Center National Competition(MC音楽センター全国大会 MC ongaku sentā Zenkoku Taikai)."
She was attending junior college in Osaka when her desire to become a singer overcame her. She left school and went to Tokyo and became Fuji Ryūnosuke(藤竜之介)'s live-in disciple. The next year, she made her professional debut with "Rampaging Boat(あばれ船 Abarebune)" and won that year's Wired Music Award at Japan Cable Awards and the New Artist's Award at the Annual Japan Record Awards.
She is stubborn and does not like to lose.
She likes cats, castle, and kappa - she even has a license to catch one if she should ever see one.
