Ōe Yutaka(大江裕)'s grandfather first taught him how to sing. His grandfather was a strict man and he trained Yutaka well, but because Yutaka spent so much time with his grandfather, Yutaka never learned to mingle with people his age: he used 8 tracks and cassette tapes to listen to enka and kayōkyokus until he was gifted with a CD player by Nippon Crown.
He is a man of contradictions. He loves to play shogi and yet he did not finish high school and is currently working to learn more kanji. Though he has a good musical sense to play the taiko drums, he does not exercise and hence lacks the stamina to get better. He is a very large man and yet also extremely polite.
He appeared on the "National Singing Parody Contest(全国かえうた甲子園 Zenkoku Kaeuta Kōshien)" corner of the TV show Sanma's Gimmicky TV(さんまのSUPERからくりTV Sanmano Super Karakuri TV)" as a representative for Osaka. As a result, he joined Kitajima Saburō's office, the first to do so without first being Kitajima's apprentice.
He made his professional singing debut with "Slowpoke General(のろま大将 Noroma Taishō)" in February of 2009.
