Rēmondo Matsuya(レーモンド松屋)

Rēmondo Matsuya(レーモンド松屋) is a singer who also writes and composes his own songs.

He formed a band while he was a high school student, and after graduation, he moved to Tokyo to attend music school. He went back home when he was 23 years old. He did non-music-related jobs as he spent time outside of work on music activities, even releasing CDs through independent labels.

In 2008, "The Winds of Akinada(安芸灘の風 Akinadano Kaze)," an album he released on an independent label, stayed on the top spot of the Can Yusen Enka Call Us Ranking(キャン有線演歌お問合せランキング Kyan Yūsen Rnka Otoiawase Rankingu) for four consecutive months. That year, he won the newcomer's award and the Yusen Call Us Award at the 43rd Japan Cable Awards.

In 2012, he won the composer's award at the 54th Japan Record Awards for "Blues at Dawn(夜明けのブルース Yoakeno Burūsu," a song he wrote for Itsuki Hiroshi.

In 2014, he won the Wired Masses Award(有線大衆賞 Yūsen Taishūshō) for the song "Two of Us at the Burning Morning (朝やけの二人 Asayakeno Futari)."

He performs live with keyboardist Nojima Kuniko(野嶋久仁子) around the Shikoku area.
