In 1977 Chan Unsuku(チャン・ウンスク 장은숙) became the grand champion of A Star Is Born(スター誕生 Sutā tanjō), a TV show in Seoul.
Her 2978 single Let's Dance(춤을 추어요, 踊りましょう Odorimashou) sold half a million copies and her second album "Your First Love（당신의 첫사랑, あなたの初恋 Anatano Hatsukoi)" sold 400,000 copies.
In 1995, she made her Japanese debut with the single "A Shard of Heartlessness(無情のかけら Mujōno Kakera)." That year, she won the newcomer's award at the 28th Japan Cable Awards.
She was appointed the sightseeing ambassador of Seoul in 2010 and of Sancheong County in 2011.
