Hashiri Yūsuke(走裕介) was born into a family of farmers.
In 1997, Hashiri Yūsuke(走裕介) appeared on "Cross Japan Karaoke Dojo(日本縦断カラオケ道場 Nihon Jūdan Karaoke Dōjō)" and started entering karaoke singing contests afterwards.
In 1999, he sent a demo tape to Funamura Tōru(船村徹) and the composer decided to take in Yūsuke as his student. Although Yūsuke's family was against this idea, Yūsuke himself along with several others managed to convince his family to let Yūsuke enter the entertainment industry.
In 2009, Yūsuke made his debut with "Train Station of Ice Floes(流氷の駅 Ryūhyōno Eki)." The name Hashiri comes from the name of his home town Abashiri City(網走市) in Hokkaido.
At the 54th Japan Record Awards in 2012 , he won the Japan Composer's Association Award.
