Wakayama Kazusa(若山かずさ) took the name Kazusa because she comes from the Old Kazusa Provice(旧上総国 Kyū Kazusa Kuni).
Her elder brother graduated from Tokyo University School of Medicine's Graduate School and now is a professor at Kanagawa Dental Forensic College(神奈川歯科大学法医学 Kanagawa Shika Daigaku Hōigaku).
She made her debut in 1984 with the single "Parting Love(別れ愛 Wakareai)."
Her 1996 single "White Peony(白牡丹 Shirobotan)" stayed in the top spot of the Oricon enka kayōkyoku chart for two consecutive weeks.
